Day 1: Arrive in Kigali rwanda
On arrival at Kigali International Airport in Rwanda, you will be received by one of our delegate who will transfer you to the adjacent guesthouse for drink as well as a briefing.
Day 2 Kigali- Nyungwe
Today we head south west to the verdant Nyungwe Forest. This rainforest which covers about 970 sq km and lies at high altitude creates its own unique climate. The forest provides an overwhelming biodiversity, and is the biggest protected rainforest lying on high altitude in the whole of East Africa and is supposed to be the source of river Congo as well as the River Nile.
Nyungwe’s most important feature is that it is a fraction of the great Albertine Rift Valley. And for this it has provided shelter to numerous wildlife species and while here we shall be able to see various forest birds, reptiles, mammals, amphibians as well as plant species. In the evening we shall enjoy a forest walk.

Day 3: Nyungwe National Park
Begin the day early with a forest walk following one of its major trails. Due to the altitude and the nature of the terrain, the walk may be somewhat challenging although the trails are customized to suit the visitors’ physical fitness. Overnight at Nyungwe Forest Lodge (Full Board)
Day 4: Nyungwe to Kigali
After breakfast, return to Kigali, making a stop at the King’s Palace found at Nyanza and there we shall learn more about Rwanda’s history.
Day 5: Kigali to Volcanoes
Today we head to the Volcanoes National Park. The drive will go for three hours taking us over the rolling countryside of Rwanda, and later the great Virunga Volcanoes will come into sight.
Each one of these stunning mountains possesses its own unique character and outline, even though together they form the great distant yet visually outstanding ecosystem. Virunga National Park was the very first destination in Africa to be affirmed a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This park is habitant to some of the remaining tranquil Mountain Gorillas remaining in the world.Following lunch, we enjoy the splendor and loveliness of Rwandan music and traditional dances. Day 6 Volcanoes National Park
Today, we shall experience the highlight of this trip, as we track the tranquil giants; the Mountain Gorillas. You will be accompanied by knowledgeable guides as you set out tracking, and a number of these have actually personally participated in the gorilla habituation process.
The time it takes to find these gorillas varies, but on finding them you will be permitted utmost an hour in their presence. This is among the most memorable encounters you will experience in the world rewarding you with unforgettable experiences as you stare deep into the eyes of these gentle giants.
You may have a chance to visit the local communities or even have to the stunning Lake Ruhondo and Lake Bulera.
Day 7: Kigali
Today you will have a chance to visit the Genocide Memorial Centre in Kigali. This Centre was established by a joint venture between a UK based Aegis Trust and the Kigali-City-Council. It has a permanent yet very heartrending exhibition of the Rwandan genocide as well as an exhibition of the additional genocides that happened elsewhere in the world.Spend the rest of the day at leisure as you prepare for your departure flight.
