Day 1: Arrival-to Lake Bunyonyi-Bwindi.
Day 2: Gorilla tracking & Hiking in the forest.
Day 3: To Queen Elizabeth National Park-Boat ride
Day 4; Queen Elizabeth National Park-Game Drive & Chimp tracking
Day 5: Departure
Day 1: Arrival-to Lake Bunyonyi-Bwindi.
Meet and greet, transfer by private car from Kampala Protea Hotel to Lake Bunyonyi near the Gorilla sanctuary of Bwindi NP. Lunch will be en-route at Igongo Cultural Centre before proceeding further west to your overnight accommodation. Depending on the arrival time, you may take guided village walk to the hilltop bar to get a panoramic view of the lake and the surrounding hills. Games such as pool table and table tennis as well as board games are available. Overnight at Bunyonyi Safaris Resort (FB) Transit time: 6-7 hours
Day 2: Gorilla tracking & Hiking in the forest.
5 30am: Breakfast.
6 00am: Transfer to Bwindi Park for briefing from park ranger guides.
8:00am: Start the gorilla tracking. This may take between 2 hours to 8 hours.
Return to Bunyonyi Safaris Resort for overnight. If the weather allows, you will have a campfire dinner by the lakeside. Meal Plan: Breakfast & picnic lunch.
Day 3: To Queen Elizabeth National Park-Boat ride
7 30 am depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park and on arrival, you will check in at Kingfisher Lodge Kichwamba (FB) after which you will have a quick lunch and then you head to Ishasha sector for the evening Game drive. This is home to the tree climbing lions and if you are lucky, you will see them. The other animals to see include the cobs, buffalos, elephants, baboons and variety of monkeys. You will later transfer back to your lodge for overnight stay. Transit Time 3-4 Hours. Meal Plan: breakfast, lunch and dinner
Day 4; Queen Elizabeth National Park-Game Drive & Chimp tracking
6.00 am breakfast, and later depart for Chimp tracking in Kyambura gorge on the edge of the Western Rift Valley. You will spend some time with these primates as they play and feed. You may also encounter other wildlife and primates like monkeys as you walk through this forest. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and dinner. Overnight at Kingfisher Lodge Kichwamba (FB)
Day 5: Departure
7 30am breakfast and after transfer to Kampala/Entebbe and lunch will be en-route. Transit Time 5-6 Hours. Meal Plan: Breakfast and Lunch.
