Day 1: Arrival
Arrive at Entebbe Airport and you are met by our staff, you will be transferred to the hotel for your overnight stay. Overnight at Cassia Lodge (BB). TRANSIT TIME 45 minutes to 1 HOURS
Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi-Lake Bunyonyi
7.30am Transfer by private car from to Lake Bunyonyi near the Gorilla Sanctuary of Bwindi. Lunch will be en-route in Mbarara at Igongo cultural center. Depending on the arrival time, you may opt for a guided village walk to the hilltop bar to get a panoramic view of the lake and the surrounding hills. Games such as pool table and table tennis as well as board games are available. Depending on the time available you can take a walk further up the hills, along village paths to get the view of the beautiful sunset if the weather allows. Other activities you can enjoy are: bicycle around the village, ride a canoe on the lake, take a boat ride to the islands, hire a fishing rod and fish in the lake, swim in the lake but with caution as thermal shock is a real danger (at your risk). Day 3: Gorilla tracking & Hiking in the forest.
5 30am: Breakfast.
6 00am: Transfer to the park headquarters for briefing from park ranger guides.
8:00am: Start the gorilla tracking. This may take between 2 hours to 8 hours. Picnic lunch in the forest. Return to Bunyonyi Safaris Resort for overnight. If the weather allows, you will have a campfire dinner by the lakeside. Our local harpist will entertain you to song and traditional harp music. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Day 4: Transfer to Kibale
7:30am after an early breakfast, transfer to Kibale National Park, through interesting landscape of tea plantations and explosion craters. You will drive through Queen Elizabeth and the foot hills of Rwenzori Mountains before arriving at your overnight lodge. Lunch will be en-route. Transit Time: 4-5 hours Meal plan: breakfast, lunch and dinner Overnight at Primate Lodge Kibale (FB)
Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking
After breakfast, start a walk through the jungle of Kibble forest to track the chimpanzees. The park is home to 12 species of primates including chimpanzees; Olive Baboons, Blue Monkeys, Black faced Red Colobus, Black and White Colobus Monkeys; Red Tailed Monkeys; and an incredible array of bird life, including the Great Blue Turaco. In the evening you can take an optional nature walk around the park and Bigodi Swamp or relax by the lodge. Meal plan: breakfast, lunch and dinner Overnight at Primate Lodge Kibale (FB)
Day 6: To Kampala
7:30am Breakfast and after return to Kampala with Lunch en-route, overnight at Cassia Lodge (BB). Meal plan-Breakfast. Transit Time 5-6 Hours
Day 7: Departure
After breakfast, you will transfer to the airport for your return flight. This will depend on your flight time
